A Public Adjuster (PA) is a licensed insurance professional who represents policyholders (homeowners, business owners, and other insured individuals) in filing, negotiating, and settling insurance claims. Unlike insurance company adjusters, who work for the insurer, a Public Adjuster works exclusively for the policyholder to maximize their claim payout.
Public Adjusters work on contingency—no settlement, no fees. Our fees are regulated by the state and vary based on claim complexity, typically 10%–20% of the settlement. We ensure you receive maximum compensation, often covering much more than what insurers initially offer.
We assist with residential and commercial property damage claims, including hurricanes, wind, fire, water leaks, mold, roof damage, theft, vandalism, and business interruption. If you’re unsure whether your damage qualifies, we offer a free claim review.
Yes! A denied claim isn’t the end. We review your denial, gather stronger evidence, and reopen negotiations. Many claims are wrongfully denied or underpaid, and we work to ensure you get what you’re entitled to.
Filing a claim does not mean automatic cancellation. However, if you have multiple claims in a short period, your insurer may reassess your risk. We help ensure your claim is handled properly, reducing unnecessary risk.
Key Responsibilities of a Public Adjuster
Assessing Property Damage : Inspects and documents losses caused by disasters like hurricanes, fires, floods, mold, and theft.
Reviewing Insurance Policies: Analyzes policy terms, coverage limits, exclusions, and deductibles to ensure clients receive what they're entitled to.
Preparing & Filing Claims: Completes all necessary paperwork, including detailed damage reports, cost estimates, and supporting evidence.
Negotiating with Insurance Companies: Communicates with the insurance company’s adjusters and legal team to maximize the claim payout for the client.
Ensuring Fair Settlements: Helps prevent underpayment or claim denials by advocating for the highest possible settlement.
There’s no simple answer. Insurance premiums can increase whether you file a claim or not, as they’re influenced by factors like property value, local labor and material costs, and regional risks (storms, floods, wind, hail, or sinkholes).
However, if you have a valid claim, don’t hesitate to file out of fear of a rate increase. You pay for insurance to be protected when you need it most. It's also your duty as a homeowner—and to your mortgage company—to safeguard your property. Delaying action can lead to bigger, more costly issues.
We’re here to guide you through the process and ensure you get the coverage you deserve
Yes! We review your policy to ensure you understand your coverage, exclusions, and rights. We’ll help determine if your loss qualifies for a claim and guide you through the process
We can't decide for you, but we typically recommend working with the insurer in good faith first. As Public Adjusters, we organize the entire claims process and fight for a fair, timely settlement—without the long delays of a lawsuit.
Legal cases can take 1–2 years or more, while Public Adjusters often resolve claims faster and at a lower cost. We work on contingency, meaning no settlement, no fees.
Roofers replace roofs; Public Adjusters fight to get you paid. We ensure you receive the full compensation needed not only for the roof but also for interior damages.
We also review your policy’s homeowner duties to ensure compliance—insurers can deny claims if requirements aren’t met. Unlike roofers, Public Adjusters are licensed by the Florida Department of Financial Services and are the only professionals (besides attorneys) authorized to negotiate claims directly with insurers.
Approval depends on your policy, claim details, and supporting evidence. We work to present your case with accurate documentation and negotiate on your behalf to maximize your chances of a successful claim.
It varies. Simple claims may settle in a few weeks, while more complex cases can take months. We ensure the process moves as quickly as possible by handling paperwork, negotiations, and follow-ups with your insurer.
